Sunseed Collection Release—Three Vast Canola Fields Under Stormy Skies

Today's the day! August 21 marks the release of my new collection, Sunseed! These three paintings were inspired by Alberta's late-summer canola fields and the drama of prairie skies, shifting from bright blue to stormy greys over fields of yellow that cannot be diminished.

I always make a point to head out to a canola field during the short window they bloom in. The endless yellow fields just feel right, y'know? It's always how they look in my head when I think of them, which is funny because they only look like this for a couple weeks per year.

When I get back to my studio, the memory lingers. I paint until the fields feel alive again. These pieces are more than landscapes. For many of us, they’re reminders of home, and of the summers we carry in our hearts.

This collection is my attempt to hold onto a season that never lasts long enough. This is Sunseed… a fleeting bloom, made timeless. I hope you love it.
