Painting outside in nature is a major part of my practice, and while I tend to explore outside the city, last summer I decided to paint more inside of it. And the more I painted there, the more I found myself drawn to the way the light sneaks through the trees of the River Valley, tints its leaves, and brightens our pathways, revealing little glimpses of the landscape beyond. The result is this small collection, titled River Valley, of three original 36 × 48 inch paintings.
